Colours distorted in millenium

My computer running windows millenium has problems with the colours on screen. They appear patchy and 'dot like' I have check the monitor on another pc and its fine. Anyone got any idea wot it might be? The icons also appear to be larger.

sounds like a problem with your graphics driver. right click on the desktop and select the "settings" tab and make sure that the 'colors' are on at least 32 bit and that the resolution is 800 x 600 or higher. if that doesn't work you should be able to reinstall the driver if you have it handy.

Thats so strange! I have just done that before you answered just on the off chance and all is ok now.
