that sounds quite cheap for an operation on a dog
sorry by comparison - my cat had to have two teeth out and the rest scraped, under anesthetic - that cost £210 and that was in 2005/6
My cat had to be put to sleep and that cost £320.
Sounds about what I would expect if not more depending on the size of the dog. Anaesthetic is expensive and obviously the bigger the animal and the longer the operation the more you need. As humans we get very used to having the NHS and getting medical treatment for nothing.
Why would you think it wasn't right?
My dog had a few stitches in her pad, cost us over £700. I think you got away cheaply!
Operation to remove an inch of scar tissue on my Great Danes leg... add the fact it wouldn't heal.... £3500

I love insurance!

Repair to Coco's tail = £2000.

Thank goodness for insurance!
£177 for one tooth to be taken out - thank god for insurance too. Bella it is probably correct by vet's standards.
That strikes me as and incredibly good deal!
I do think Ummmm for a cat to pts - that money was a lot - my neighbour's dog was pts last week for £75.
That's really resonable.

My in-laws had a dog go through a similar op and they were charged thousands.
Sounds fair to me.
