I remember some biscuits from the 60's called Playbox which I think were made by Peek Freens. can anyone remember the pictures on them. I can remember a drum but thats about all. Thanks in advance

I think that I remember them. If I remember correctly, they were a hexagonal/octagonal shape, some had pink icing on with white icing pictures. As for your question, a train and a Coldstream guard standing to attention with a gun comes to mind, apart from the drum. Perhaps if it was called Playbox, it would have pictures of typical toys a child would possess, ie. a ball, skipping rope, toy car, etc.
No party was complete without them, that and chocolate digestives wrapped in foil. Curiously I have a strong memory of Birds Eye frozen mousse, chocolate or strawberry, which appeared in the shops in 1966, little individual packs at 6d each. We'd never seen anything like them!
