Hyundai I20 Mot And Warranty.

I have a three year old Hyundai i20 from new with a very low mileage (less than 4,000). The MOT will be done next week and I'm sure it will pass without problem.
It has a five year warranty and has been checked at the end of year one and year two by a recognised Hyundai dealer.
My question is do I have to have it checked again by them? They are terribly expensive, but I don't want to void my warranty.
Any advice much appreciated.

I would imagine that you do need to have it checked by the registered dealer in order to keep the terms of the warranty. Do not risk it!
Think you will find that if serviced by a VAT registered garage and that all parts used are Hyundai genuine parts then the warranty will still stand, having said that, IF you do not use a Hyundai dealer for the service, IF anything should go wrong after that they will try their hardest to try and use this as a "not serviced as should have been " matter.

Thanks Eddie, I suppose I will have to just bite the bullet. They charged me £500.00 last year for a two year old car with almost nothing on the clock.

So, kjn2, you think I should get the Mot done by the Hyundai people???
My B.I.L thought as you Jenny untill I advised him to use any VAT garage using the genuine Hyundai oil / filters etc, he saved himself £200+ regards your 3 year old car, there will not be much wrong with it with that low milage.
I personally would get the MOT done at the Hyundai garage before the next service is due, that way IF there is anything wrong repairs can be carried out under warranty. They are well known for their high costs service, this is how they can give a five year free warranty.
