The Log film

Ok firstly I am not on drugs!! my question relates to a film title and someone validating that I was not halucinating..... I remember watching a film years and years ago about a log.....I think it was a 70s film and the log would grow spikes and prick people and whoever got pricked by it became obsessed with it and even killed whoever the log didn't like.....I really hope someone else knows this film - my credibility on this site it up the creek otherwise!!!! thanks x x

Could this be the Michael Jayston/Joan Collins segment of the film Tales That Witness Madness. It's about an artist who brings home a dead tree and displays it as art but it seems to hurt people it doesn't like - such as the wife played by Joan Collins.
