Hillary that is ...

Hillary Clinton is busy making alliances and working for key Democrats - presumably with an eye to nomination as their Presidential Candidate in 2016.

I was always a vociferous proponent of Hillary - back in 2008 I thought she would make a rather better fist of the Presidency than Obama - nothing I've seen over the last 5 years has changed that view.

The main snag in 2016 could be "the age thing" - she will be (just) 69 when the election is fought - but then Reagan was older than that and completed two terms.

Can she do it? Should she do it?

"What would be even more interesting is if we had a female PM at the same time."

Who is available to step up? I imagine the next PM will be David Cameron, but after that it'll be someone like Chucka Umunna doing a bit of a Blair.

Yvette Cooper I reckon - she has the (errr) necessary equipment ...
she should run, i was watching her on the news the other evening, she had won some award, sorry forgotten the name for the moment, she fielded questions extremely well, was forthright and indeed i think she would make a very good candidate for President,
not Yvette please, she will be dragging that bulldog of a husband along by the coattails. and i couldn't stand to seem him be part of running this country.
