last night in our local, we were subjected to an impromptu "disco," mainly K-Tels Greatest Hits, though at least they turned the telly off.

Awful bands, sometimes...... particularly those doing modern jazz very loudly. Time to leave.

It really irritates me when a small herd of non-regulars, usually quite youngish, barge into the bar, have obviously been drinking at other bars, and raise the decibel level sky-high with their "Hey, look and listen to us" belligerent attitudes. A pox upon them I say (quietly though:)).
