What do you mean by next of kin?

If you mean who inherits (if no will) it will be the children - in trust until they are 18 if necessary. Assuming he didn't remarry.

If he remarried then it would be his wife. If he never re-married then his oldest child would be the next of kin.
Another possibility - if he was not fully ex- (ie living apart but divorce not completed) then you would I think still be next of kin.
Next of Kin will only come into the equasion if he has died intestate (without a legal will). If he has, then the estate will remain in Trust for the eldest child until he or she becomes 18

You won't get anything unless he left it to you in his will!
Regards,
Steve
