Hospital Blocking Information

While I was away from home my husband fell and a neighbour called an ambulance.
I have found out what time he arrived at the hospital but can't get anyone to tell me when he was sent home, (alone, to an empty house).
My husband was confused and can't remember.
The hospital won't deal with me as I am not the patient.
Any thoughts??

ask your GP - the hospital should have sent the discharge information directly to your GP to update your husband's patient record at the surgery.

Thanks, that helps.
Is there any chance a discharge note may be around the house as he may well have been given one as well. I know I've had them in the past.
I think also a discharge note, or phone GP. Or is your husband able to phone them when you're with him? I imagine they actually don't know. Even if they recorded the time of discharge, if they arranged the transport, it might have been hours later- so they may not know what time he got home.
is he likely to remain confused indefinitely? If not, get him to make the request
out of interest, why do you need to know?

How did he get home - ambulance, hospital transport, taxi?
It may be on the triage note that would be copied to the GP for their records. Why do you want to know what time he left the hospital though? I'm a little confused? x
I think she's concerned about how long he's been left there on his own, perhaps without lunch/drinks/medication.
II don't think that can be it. After all he was there on his own anyway. I would guess it's more to do with being discharged at an outrageous time
Yes, true, bednobs.

Errr, is everything OK itsme? You comment seems a little out of context.
Itsme? I'm thinking maybe you didn't mean to post that in this question?

Thanks everyone. He was sent home by taxi, (no wallet or keys). Fortunately we have a key box outside the house and he was able to pay the taxi driver when he got inside. But yes I was concerned as to how long he had been left alone in an empty house after a fall.
