Yeah like mindbullets i always thought a fluffer was the person who orally helped the male actor who couldn't "get wood"....so there you go...you live and learn!

I saw a grime documentary about it; yea, sft they wish 2 [luxury]; Fluffers were indeed women, in the 1940's whose job it was to enter the London Tube tunnels at night, among the rats, and with a scraper each, clean the lines of daily gunge that blows in, including litter, human hair, snot, bogies phlegm and whatever else gets sucked in each day from all those passengers; this to prevent the trains' wheels slipping on the grease. :-]
