I need help booting BT from a CD.

I downloaded the ISO and burnt it to a CD using ISOBurner.

After i turn off my laptop, I insert the disk and turn it back on.

My laptop reads my CD and displays something like;

"ISOLinux Copyright(C) 1998-2007;
boot:_"

Then I type; "ISOLinux"

My computer says; "Image Checksum Error.....Press a key to retry boot

ISOLinux Copyright(C) 1998-2007....."

And then it freezes on me!

So.....

I re-downloaded the Iso, checked the md5sum (it was good) and burnt it at the slowest speed possible.

I put the disk back in and it did exactly the same again.

Any ideas....thnx

if at first .... give up and try something else!

linux distros are notorious for poor hardware support ...
(it was months before sata was supported)

have you tried any other sw?
(knoppix is generally better supported - it would prove a point)
