What is the thing on the Kia advert?

Im pretty sure its the kia advert, it is very strange, where the person comes out with a chainsaw nd mask on. Wel i hav no idea wat that thing driving the car is. It has a head like a jellyfish or summat. I find it really creepy.

They are pretty much based on the type of toys that are coming out of Japan at the moment. I guess the agency and/or client just liked this kind of thing, or want to be trendy.

The driver is a character created by UK artist Pete Fowler (www.monsterism.net). Has done artwork for most of the recent Kia adverts and for bands such as Super Furry Animals and the Magic Numbers. Has also produced "urban vinyl" figures that the Japanese buy from vending machines and seem to love so much. Some of the characters are similar to the Kia Diesel driver.
