my problem is; i have a provisional license in my first married name (no.2) . When I divorced I changed my surname (no 3) by deed poll to a completely new one. I never got round to changing my provisional license. My copy of the deed poll got mislaid. I am now re-married (surname no4!) and want to start taking my driving lessons again. Can i apply for a new license without having proof of my name change from name no2 to name no3? the solicitors who carried out the deed have said that as i had the original copy of the deed, they cant give me a copy unless i go through the process again. I cant legally go through that process again as I'm not legally known by either name anymore! I dont suppose anyone can help???
