Considerations are afoot that could mean all cars would have their speed limited automatically depending on the speed limit in force.

Early trials found the systems to be highly reliable technically and could cut accidents by nearlly 30%

Good thing? Bad thing ? or Good if it works?

Or should we be permitted to break the law?

A bit of extra speed can sometimes avoid disaster, so I'm dubious about taking control from the driver - but I never understand why some cars are made to be capable of doing ridiculously high speeds.
Your right Naomi. Fast acceleration is much more fun than high speeds.
From the makers of Driver CPC and other burdens on the working man.
JJ are you being alternative for fun or do you mean it?
Bikers can break the speed limit if they want. Is that what you are saying?
What if a car breaks the speed limit and ploughs into a biker. I bet it's a different story then.
Bikes have to obey the same road rules as the rest of us and if you don't....you look like the idiotic stereotype that you claim not to be.
yes it should be permitted. There should be an emergency button for something outrageous like if a tree is falling on you, but that should be monitorable (new word?).
I'd like to see fewer bunches of dead garage bought carnations and more stupid bikers rather than the other way round. But to be fair, I'd get rid of the idiotic bikers another way if I could.
Don't defend it. You're perpetuating the stereotype.
