Would You Time Travel Forward Or Back?

If you were given an opportunity to time travel but could only go one way, would you travel forward to see what the future brings or backward to see perhaps what dinosaurs looked like?

Yes, secretly -- or perhaps not so secretly -- I'd really want to travel back in time so that I could be famous now. Imagine if they talked of "jim's cat" instead... MUAHAHAHAHA.

I believe travel backwards in time will never be possible due the your erroneous presence affecting causality and creating Paradoxes. Unless of course you believe some multiverse theories where such presence simply causes another time line / universe.

back to the early seventies and see all the same groups but i would also buy the camera that i was going to buy at that time but never did

I would go back to before I was born and find my grandmother. She was a character apparently, but died 3 years too early to know me, also, after initial chat, I could find out family ancestry, her parents are a dead end.

Like joggybear,back. I wish I had taken a lot more interest in my familys ancestry so that I could pass it on to my grandson (a history student).We were all told stories by our grandparents,but most of the time we didn't really listen and I regret that now.
