Please help what is the correct etiquette if you have to leave a meeting ? Should apologies be made or should you sneak out? 5 people from the one department were leaving at once
It's normal practice to catch the Chair before the start of the meeting and simply say that you have a prior diary appointment at X, and that you will leave at an appropriate point in the meeting. That way, if he/she wants to collar you about something, he/she can do it when you are there!
