All done and dusted. Some mixed difficulty clues but all good fun.

Many thanks to Kruger

Hello Twit-Who,
Having solved the 6 long grid entries, it all sort of fell into place, but I spent longer than I should have done making sense of the first instruction. Having complied with it, I thought the grid was populated very cleverly!
A fine construction, otherwise relatively easy. Nothing wrong with that, though, it was good fun.
Barely had to crack the dictionary for this one, although I found that the clues where the extra letter was hardest to identify were also the most critical in figuring out the first part of the instruction. Whether that was deliberate or just me being a lunkhead, I don't know. It seems like it's been a while since we've had that sort of "classic" EV endgame, but maybe I have not been working these long enough to deem anything "classic."
Agree with you Dr. B. about the more difficult clues but it was a well constructed puzzle and very enjoyable.
10 down - 'principal' surely, not 'principle'?
Newbie to this forum, but think it's time to add to the discussion!
One of the more straightforward EVs, but nevertheless entertaining.
I have to agree with 9071asg - surely 10D is "Principal"?
I thought this was bit tougher than in recent weeks. I can't figure out some of the extra letters and so my following of the instructions doesn't seem right.
Welcome 9071asg and LifesABeach to the mad-house that is the EV thread! You have spotted this weeks typo! I am surprised Twit-Who, is our resident pedant, nor I spotted it! Please feel free to chat as well as comment on EV!
I'm off for a post prandial drink!
And then it all fell into place as soon as I'd posted!
Echoing DocHH's welcome to the new posters, am just trundling up the final straight and puzzling over what to put below. Found it a most enjoyable puzzle altho' might change my mind if I don't get the last couple of clues and work out my missing letters, always a problem with lateral leaps.....
Hi Devadolly. If you get the first part of the instruction what to put below the grid will jump out at you. Even if you do not have the all the answers yet you should notice a preponderance of certain letters in the grid. Look at the pattern(s) formed by those.
Thank you Novalis, have only just found your post & like Cloverjo, I suddenly clicked, now all finished.
