wanted - clunky old mobile phone - any ideas?

Hi,

We are looking for a cheap as chips old style mobile phone - but it must have a plastic flap that covers the keypad - this is the main thing.

it is for my old dad and must be simple to use and with no fancy buttons and features it is just for saftey etc. large bricks are fine

I have looked on ebay but there are about 8 thousand phones and i don't wan't to wade through, as these types are quite rare now and I may not find any.

can any ABers suggest some types and model numbers etc so i can search directly for those models?

Nokia 3310 or 3330, dead simple to use, relatively cheap might find one at around �25 - �30. Took my grandma, 10 mins to learn how it works. Really dead simple and a cheap phone!

To be honest I think you will find that the older phones, while chuncky had tiny black and white screens and were often more difficult to use than todays.
