Hi

I currently work 21 hours per week and take my Quetiapine 550 mg at 9.00 pm and Sertraline when I wake up. I have been offered a full time job (landscape gardening) which would include being on call in the 24/7 1 week in 2 in the winter months.

My question is, when would be the best time to take the Quetiapine as it has a strong sedative effect and I don't feel confident to drive after taking it. I have not accepted the job as of yet because of it, as this is really playing on my mind.

Many thanks

If you are on call 24/7 at that time, it won't make much difference what time you take it. Are you likely to be called out at night, or will it mainly be answering the phone?
errgghh i had this problem when i was on morphone and trying to hold down a job with an on call element and never really satisfactorily sorted it. Just out of interest, what kind of landscape gardening emergency can you get at 3 am?
I had this problem when I was still working and taking anti-psychotics. I tried adjusting the timeses but I was still too dopey to work. My doctor and psychiatrist ended up changing the drug.

Thanks guys! The job includes shifting snow, using gritting equipment and clearing paths - all for the NHS. I moving from a comfortable but very stressful office job to permanently working outside. It's got to be better for me physically and mentally!!!
