I have bought a glass topped table in Malta and must arrange to ship it over to me. The supplier has crated it.
Can anyone advise the most economical and reliable route for shipping.
Should I go for Air Freight or Ship?
How do I get it from the Airport or Dock to my home?
What is the best method of insurance.
Any advice and tips would be gratefully received.

The heavier the object the more expensive it becomes to send by air freight. If you can be patient I would send it by sea. If you are in a desperate hurry I would use an air freight forwarding company. I have a glass business and I use this company http://www.radiuslogistics.co.uk/air-freight-forwarders/. The most important thing is that it is packed extremely well if it goes by air freight as the staff are notoriously careless!
