So, the BBC are going to broadcast 'the reveal' live this Sunday:

Out of nowhere, Peter Capaldi has become the hot favourite...I think he would be a brilliant Doctor, but I wonder whether BBC execs might think he's too old for the show's core demographic.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for Russell Tovey, or Idris Elba as a massively outside chance.

I think it's a good choice, I loved Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant but couldn't warm to Matt Smith, he just didn't seem to have the sense of gravitas behind him of an age old Time Lord who had travelled the universe.

I was hoping they'd go for an Asian doctor, as the NHS does.

I've not seen much of his work, though he was in a Doctor Who episode before!
