I am very interested in making amateur films but have no skill(yet :> ) in scriptwriting. Is there anyone out there who would be interested to send me one of thier scripts that I could play around with(to a very minor degree) and turn into a shortish (no more than 60 mins - though shorter preferable) using my college friends? Post below if anyone is interested and I can give you my email fo further follow-ups. Thnaks

Do you mind if I ask how much experience you have making short film? A 60 minute film is quite an undertaking for an amateur film maker
what genre are you looking for? comedy? drama? horror? sci-fi?

more a response to froggequene, i wrote a spoof, which was my first effort at scriptwriting (took 3 months) and then me and a few others got together to screen the film, using colleagues from work as actors. As we're only doing this part time we aim to shoot and edit within 2 years (currently about halfway through) - final film should be between 80 and 100 minutes depending on final editing - this is our first movie together, so my advice is go for it!
Just out of curiosity darth what kind of equipment are you using? Some friends and I got involved in an amateur film group but it petered out so we're looking into investing in our own equipment & software (sorry for taking up your space Avocado).

No problem Froggequene(how the name?) If fiddled around with short scenes and we have quite alot of junk on camera. I want something substantial to work on that i can get my teeth into, I have experience at my past school that had a media room with eeeeeverything and my new colleg has some quite funky equipment. I have made film projects for Media Studies(GCSE) so I know 60mmins is a long time though if you have something really good getting something into that can be quite tough. MM I'm quite intereted in your equipment to Darth.
I'm looking for anything I can doon a low buget. Comedy is hard to pull off, and scifi is hard if there are complicated settings but it does give you rrom to work with interesting camera effects(I also love Sci movies) but anything is apreciated. Shall we just say that I was having a bad day when I chose the name but afterwards I decided I liked it so much I kept it on, so chances are if you've run into another froggequene it's me
