0800 Numbers

Hello ABers.I don't know which category this should be in, but, are 0800 numbers free on mobile phones as they are on landlines?

No, they're not. Some companies provide an alternative free phone number for mobiles but 0800 isn't. In fact you can't even dial 0800 from a mobile, you have yo remove the first 0.

0800 numbers work just fine,
the ones that are not free from a mobile give a verbal warning that you will be charged, after which it's up to you.
