Hi all. Well old Jenny no mates me :( My children have gone to their dads for their fortnightly 2 night visit. And I am on my own until Sunday night. Anyone got any suggestions as to what I can do, rather than housework and scrolling through Answerbank all weekend?

wow, what would i do with a weekend on my own!! If i was on my own for the weekend, I would go for a nice walk somewhere nice, or browse garden centre....back home for a day of beauty pamper products :o) then a selection of dvd's!! With no disturbances from kids!! Bliss!!!!

Well I can dream cant i!

Thanks again Iz, I am a lone parent to 4 children. And god knows I deserve my 4 night break a month. But when it comes, I feel I should relax, but then see all the decorating, etc that needs doing. But I want some me time. Already had too much vino tonight! hic!
Do you swim? Maybe a visit to your local swimming pool?. Or have you been to your local library recently? Quite apart from books, videos and CD's many of them stock a large range of popular magazines which you might enjoy browsing through. And although it's probably not your idea of fun, does your underwear drawer need sorting out, or some of your other cupboards de-cluttering and you never normally have time? Or visit a garden centre to buy some seeds to plant when the weather gets warmer. Or invite an elderly neighbour living alone in for a surprise cup of coffee or afternoon tea. I guess one of the problems of unexpected "spare" time is that it's so rare that by the time we've had time to think about filling it, the hours have already run away. Enjoy your space anyway.

get a few vids, bottle of wine, pizza and ice cream

contact a few old pals and see if they want to come round - even if you haven't seen them for while its a good excuse to get back in touch
