I presume you are complaining about having to pay in a hospital car park. I can give you two examples. When my father was in a hospital in the north of England I had to pay 1 to park my car. I could always find a space and the car park had CCTV and was patrolled by wardens so I was unlikely to have my car broken into or stolen. When visiting a friend in hospital in the West of Scotland it was impossible to find a space in the enormous free car park. Most of the spaces were taken by locals who dumped their cars and then walked the short distance to work in the town centre where there were no free parking spaces.
Should imagine it will be either the local nhs trust or the council. But if it privately owned why shouldn't they charge, I can't see anything leech like in this.
Our local hospital in Llanelli has disabled parking by the enrances to the hospital for blue badge holders which is great if you've mobility problems, but guess what, you still have to pay the parking rate

not really complaining as such gef,ive no problem with paying the 2 quid,it was just a general enquirey.i would like to think that the money went back in to the hospital in some way and not someone who just wants to make a quick buck out of peoples misfortunes.if you need to see a loved one in hospital who may be in for a few days it works out pretty expensive.

I work in the medical industry and visit hospitals frequently. Some have, as you say, free car parks. Others can cost up to 20 to stay for a 4-5hour visit. Most big London hospitals are 2.50+ an hour.

These fees do go, in part, to the hospital which makes the cost easier to swallow, but many are run by 3rd parties making big bucks.
