Why is this always quoted at the end of car (and sometimes other products) commercials on the radio? Sometimes they even recite the conditions and breakneck speed. I would have thought it's pretty obvious that terms and conditions would apply to any sale.

if an offer is advertised usually there is a catch. for example if you are offered free insurance you usually have to be above a certain age. companies dont want to say this so to get round rules about false addvertising they mention usually at lightening speed that 'terms and conditions apply'. on adverts it can sometimes be seen flashing up for a short period on the screen obviously on the radio it has to be said
