How Do You Prevent Beauty Spots.

I'm in my forties and I have quite a lot of beauty spots . My 7 yr old son seems to be following in my footsteps. He was blemish free until a couple of years ago but is developing beauty spots on his neck and face.
What causes them and is there anything you can do to prevent them?
I do smother him in sun protection during the summer which I thought we help but they are still appearing.

you can't stop them and they can appear at any time. only freckles come out in the sun.....leave him be!

I think you're confusing 'beauty spots' with (as above) freckles.
Leave them be, nothing will stop them. As long as you're applying the correct sun lotion, he'll be fine. My face is absolutely covered in freckles during this weather!

Freckles are lovely, why would you want to get rid of them??

Sun cream but really nothing to be done. Someone once described my daughters freckles as a sprinkling of brown sugar.

no I don't mean freckles. I mean dark brown spots. .little moles. are they caused by sun exposure?...or are they just going to keep appearing as my son gets older?
