Only for fun as it is quite a general way of working this out....

If you divide the no. answers you have given by the no. best answers you have been awarded in your profile what do you get?

Me -2704 / 8 which equals 338.

Doing it this way, the lowest figure means you have a stronger ratio!

I am taking myself out the running by the way!

Yeah but that presupposes that people give you best answer because you are right and not because you are saying what they want to hear. consequently, there are a number of posts in law where the "best answer" is legally nonsense........

Ok so the question wasnt that great, I accept. To repeat, it was just for fun. On reflection it means diddly squat!! At best, it gives an indicator at how your answers are received by others.

Incidentally there will be a "best answer" awarded for this post so i will have a look through later!!
I thought the qn was interesting as it generated quite a lot of replies. (Grovel! Grovel!)

Barmaid - best answer as, even though your post confirms that my question is fairly pointless, you made a very valid point. And in giving you best answer, it strengthens your point as you didnt actually answer my question!!

So, you ratio has just improved slightly..... :)
It didn't work though, jd! Well done, Barmaid.
Regarding the date the Best Answer facility was introduced- it must have been here well before 2011. Here's one for me in 2008.
