Hi Tilly Good to see you back in AB. Sounds as if you had a great time and must now get back to normalities.

Incidentally. you mentioned Ten Ton Tessie. Actually it was Two Ton Tessie O'Shea of which you were making reference.

She was a stage performer and big in many ways:-

What a nice welcome back from everyone. Thank you.

Svejk, thank you. I did know about Mrs.O but no fat-camp! I'm so disappointed. I thought a couple of weeks in Wales would get rid of some of the blubber.

Alston, so it's only Two Ton Tessie? That's a bit better.

......and for those of you who asked, The GSD seems to be much better after two weeks of enforced rest.
Thats a bit of good news then Yilly, about your dog.
I'll bet she missed you, has she come round yet? Friends of ours when they got back from holidays and picked up the dogs, the older one would ignore them for a day or so
Question Author
Yes, Tony. I spent a lot of time worrying about her but she's much better.
Question Author
Well, I weighed myself this morning and appear to have lost five pounds.

Now I am only two pounds heavier than I was when I went away. How has that happened? I still have all my body parts, nothnig has fallen off. How odd is that?
Tilly.....It's my guess that your holiday being over and because you have returned to 'normality' , your are drinking and eating considerable less. Also a contributory factor could be the hot weather which is causing your sweat glands to be highly active. Don't worry about the fact that you are now 2lbs above your original weight. No one will notice if you wear loose fitting lightweight clothing.

I hope you find my words of some comfort to you.

Auntie Al. ☺☺☺
We were on a 2 week cruise a few weeks ago and I actually LOST weight. All to do with the amount of walking we did in the places we visited! Wonderful.
Question Author
Thank you, Al. Your words have been a great comfort.

I know what you mean, horseshoes. We did a fair amount of walking in all the places we went to except for Izmir, in Turkey, where it was over 100 degrees and I just kept finding and sitting in the shade. Then we did three laps of the promenade deck every morning and evening.

It's been too hot to cook since we got back.
Oops..I must get some new glasses. I almost misread your last sentence, and, whilst my agreement would have been correct for this hot weather, I then realised that you had said cook....not nookie cookie.:-)

Yes, too hot for that as well, Auntie Al.
