anyone else got the bog mosquitoes flying around the garden,never seen this size in the uk before

No, no mozzies at all this year so far - lots of Daddy Long Legses.

Used to live in Sandwich/Kent, I think Mossie Breeding was a Cottage Industry there, never seen so many anywhere else in UK.

Nor so far this year, Baldric - it's probably all that low damp land round Sandwich to blame.
