On Friday, the NTSB felt compelled to issue a statement to the press, after one of their interns mistakenly released some inaccurate information relating to the identities of the pilots involved in the accident to Asiana flight 214. The statement is here:- http://www.ntsb.gov/news/2013/130712.html

The information was read out in good faith by San Francisco media outlet KTVU. they too apologised; see here http://www.ktvu.com/news/news/ktvu-apology-friday-noon-report/nYpSg/

they can pull it if they want - but the manner of broadcast of the names is a matter of historical record, and reported in the telegraph, no less.

I can`t believe they fell for it - that`s hilarious.
Wasn't hoo flung dung among them.
Whoever came up with that is a legend. I know we shouldn't be laughing at such a serious incident, but this is one for the history books in terms of practical jokes.
