Can anyone please advise me on how to get rid of the "coupon dropdown" or "bannersdontwork" add ons? I cannot find them in the control panel of my computer or in the manage add ons on my Google search engine tools page, as is advised elsewhere, and my anti viral software or malware is not picking it up when I run scans! It is particularly bad when I am using the BBC website. I note that they have recently changed their cookies and am now very suspicious of their site!! Please help as it is driving me nuts!
I was unable to find any options on the coupon dropdown and after several attempts at scans, uninstall searches etc, I have resorted to restoring my system through the safe mode start up!! I REALLY hope this works!!!
I'm sorry-it worked for me. When it first drops down there is an option, which flashes off again. Have to be quick. I had to take it off loads of different sites. Frustrating! But touch wood, not had it back since. Hope the restore works for you x
Just to update!! The restore hasn't worked either! I do not use Mozilla/Firefox or Google Chrome, so can't reset the settings. Think it's time to get in touch with my IT expert friend!
I had this junk advertising on Firefox. Rather than resetting it to defaults, I tried disabling a recent Add-on called FreeHDSportTV, closing Firefox and re-starting it. That did the trick.
