A survey for Quidco.com , of 2,000 Britons showed that 80 per cent of men find clothes shopping with their partners boring, 45 per cent avoided going at all costs, 50 per cent had headed home alone before the end of the outing, and the average time before boredom set in was 26 minutes. [The Times]

How about you? Is that your experience? I'm just surprised by the 20 per cent who aren't bored, even though I am one of them.

Some men have no interest, have no style and would be a liability to you and it would certainly not be fun....this type of guy can also think that it would be a good idea to take you to a football match on a date and call it a surprise!

i am surprised that anyone finds shopping interesting, sans partner or no.
never ever, go shopping with oh.
There seems to be some weird idea by men that all women love to shop. A good proportion of us absolutely hate it, me included!
what always make me smile is men out shopping for their wives, girlfriends, of course it could be for them... they stand their wondering, hoping what they buy will fit, they will like it, or not.
I have one hard and fast rule when it comes to clothing:

Unless I specify an item, NO-ONE buys me clothes!

I either shop online, or I can go to a Jacamo shop locally, and there's one in the Metro Centre, and a High & Mighty in Newcastle. There's also a (Just down the road from High & Mighty) place called Slater Menswear, and I pop in there too.

Beginning to think I'm weird (all right, a bit late but still ). I enjoy clothes shopping with the daughter and both my exes ( I am the one wearing the mac and often in the wrong cubicle :) ). They say they like my opinion whether the garment 'works' or not, and a quick guide to how well it's made; French seams preferred,no skimping or cabbaging, big patterns that match at joins, no cheap buttons (though that can be cured) etc. Maybe I am Gok Kwan's clone and don't know ! But I generally hate them buying for me
Blimey Fred...where have you been all my life?!!! And if you say not born for most of it...you're dead! ;-) x

Fred I dispute that, they only asked me !.

Rest assured, gness, I am now 66 so I wouldn't be that brave ! But you'd have missed out on buying the underpinnings. Then I get the shop's corsetiere over and she takes the job or. There are things you women wear underneath tops and dresses that I would never think of, even if I've seen them. Never had to worry about that.

^job on, not "or"^
