Revells

I had a packet of revells yesterday and was surprised to find that it had raisins but no peanuts.Does anyone know when this change happened and why?

Last year (Aug/Sept I think) there were promotional packets which said there was a new flavour. Personally I'm happy to welcome the raisin and boot out the peanut (I'd rather have got rid of the coffee though)!

Agree with nfn, I'm glad we have raisins now instead of peanuts - I only used to do what most people did and suck the chocolate off befopre throwing the peanut away. I even prefer coffee ones to peanut ones!

I'm sure that Revels used to contain a coconut one, can anyone remember what the original Revels used to consist of when they first started out?

I think the "why" is because a lot of people are allergic to peanuts these days.

Still, at least they still make bags of choccy peanuts for those of us that did like them!

Hear hear about the coffee ones. they can dump the orange ones too.

Yeah it's because of the peanut allergy thing.

I once heard a stand up comedian joking about his peanut allergy and eating a bag of Revells for him was like russian roulette.
