no, Queen Victoria wouldn't stand for it.
Maybe the girls are saying: 'leave him, (insert appropriate name here). He's not worth it.'
Olly Murs - the bad boy of rock
they do get a bit frisky at the Last Night, its the champers don't ya know.
A combination of too much drink and Olly Murs would lead even the best of people to engage in physical violence.
I can quite understand how having to listen to Olly Murs would drive some people to drink!

Having to listen to Olly and Robbie together,
I think I can see why they were upset!
Maybe not the proms, but there was a fistfight during a performance of Brahms Symphony No. 2 at the Chicago Orchestra Hall.

Even though the performance continued uninterrupted the conductor and patrons "gave the men a sharp, irritated look before continuing on with the third movement". !!
sounds like a fracas in a westminster bar

Yes but that happened in the great US of A.
'Pop star role models'? You do know it's not 1963 anymore don't you AOG?

I don't believe that pop stars have a duty to be a 'role model' - quite the opposite. The purpose of pop music has been to simultaniously bind a generation together while simultaniously getting up the noses of the said generation's parents.

My only exception in the 'role model' scenario was the tragic loss of Amy Winehouse, whose appearence acted as a wonderful role model for young people - if you overdo drink and drugs, you will end up looking like this.

Otherwise, I cannot see that the current establishment's criticism of the behvaviour of anyone else is anything but rampant hypocricy.
Am I the only one disappointed, as I had expected the women to be shirtless, as well as the men?

I'll get me coat.....
believe me, chilldoubt, you really wouldn't want to meet any female prepared to dance shirtless in public.....
What does it have to do with Robbie Williams or Olly Murs. I expect I'd feel the same if forced to listen to those two, but unless they actually incited it, i don't see how they are responsible for how other people choose to behave
