Does anyone know how I can clean the roof of my convertible car safely without damaging it or fading the colour. It has really deep ground in mould that looks terrible close up and obviously cant be doing the roof any good at all... Thanks in advance...

When we were considering a soft top beamer this was one of the questions I asked (bird poo is a problem hereabouts as we live in a wooded area) there was a product on sale in the dealership to do this job. So call into the dealer of car maker to find if they sell similar recommended product.

Depends on the material of the hood and possibly the dye I guess, I've always washed mine at jet washes scrubbing it with the brushes and shampoo and have never had any troble

Try these guys though they specialise in soft top products

WAIT! Don't take it to a jet wash!!! Those places are evil!!! No method is guaranteed not to affect the dye, it really depends on the quality of materials used in the hood. Go to your local car accessories place and look for AutoGlym products...you want fabric hood cleaner (which is a specially designed sprayable soap), and fabric hood sealer for making the hood waterproof again afterwards. I've used them for years, and they're extremely good.
Volvo sell a soft top kit to clean and reseal their soft tops for about 34 quid.
