Free Sim Card

I have an old but very easy to use mobile phone (Motorola W375) all I want to do is to make the occasional phone call or send the odd text message, I do not want to pay a monthly fee so PAYG would be what I was looking for where I can just load with about £10 credit as and when needed, can anyone tell me where and how I can get a bog standard free sim card from?

ASDA have pay as you go Sim cards for about 50p. Phone calls and texts are 10p per minute ( I think but haven't checked lately).
Free Sim cards are usually locked in to a supplier which could be more costly per phone call.
