I'm running Thunderbird with the current Windows and today my mailbox won't open - have tinkered around a bit but no go, so any ideas would be great

I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that, during the past two days, Firefox has been up-dated to FF 22.

Perhaps you have received an automatic up-date which has thrown your E/mail programme or alternatively you need to do a manual up-date.

I'm running the latest version of Thunderbird (and Firefox, though I doubt that has anything to do with it) and don't have any problems. When you say that the mailbox won't open are you getting an error message?

My Thunderbird has started to ask me my password before I can open the program. I didn't have one for Thunderbird so typed in my ISP password and it opened. It's annoying but works.
I know you haven't mentioned a password problem so this is probably not a bit of use to you.

I didn't know there was an update, so will investigate

Not getting an error message, not getting anything and no it's not requesting a password, but will have another tinker and see what happens
