Plastic is very difficult to paint successfully the paint does not stick and peels off.
Plastic garden furniture should be regarded as disposable the sunlight always degrades it after a year or two.

As plastic is flexible, I'm guessing paint wouldn't stay put very well!

use a melamine primer then ordinary gloss but it will still weather badly,
