like this http://goo.gl/maps/Ba6S8 but the A12 stage looks as though it's probably a busy road
Not far from where I live just over the border .I wouldn't want to walk it .It's about six miles and mostly along main roads .
Get a bus no 601 :)
There isn't a neat coastal path and to avoid the main roads and the beach, you would need to plot out the route along the country lanes. Try a footpath map such as this one.

All the narrow country lanes round that way with a push chair ?
Some of them aren't wide enough for two cars to pass comfortably .
I agree Shaney, it would be much nicer to bus it to Southwold and grt off at the pier. Then for a walk, follow the prom path all the way down to the harbour.
There used to be a some pretty good coastal paths along that way years ago but most of them have crumbled away and floated out to sea now or they're barricaded off because they're dangerous :(
That's my part of the world too.

There's no easy way of walking it. However the 601 bus runs hourly, taking about 25 minutes for the journey.

Monday to Saturday timetable here:

Sunday timetable here:

The fares for that route aren't on the Anglian Bus website but a phone call to 01502 711109 should provide you with the information.

If you're looking for an easy walk in that area, between two lovely places on the coast, take the footpath over the old railway bridge that takes you from Southwold to Walberswick.
