no, my iPod is superb. what exactly are you doing to it?

you are not limited to using songs from their music store. in fact, i'd suggest not even using it at all. if they don't have the stuff you want, get the CD, or download from somewhere else.

how did it wipe your stuff? you set up your songs into your library, and then the iPod just replicates it. you can only lose your songs if you erase the music from your computer. and if you do that, then it's your fault (from what you tell us).

http://www.apple.com/support is a good place to go :-)

It erased because I plugged in my IPOD to the same computer Ive always had and it said the name of my IPOD wasnt registered to this computer (which it was). Would you like to register it to this computer and transfer all information blah blah..... and now ive plugged it in, I have no songs and nothing in my library. It has definitely gone and I still hate it. I can't bond with it at all!

Thanks for the info for the support site. I'll see how I get on with that.

For a start, the full operation manual is online at apple.com which is stated in your pack. Your tone and what you have actually typed as your 'question' are the key clues to why things are going wrong here surely: they scream impatience; anger; ego etc etc - none of which is particulary conducive to getting to know a new product.

Take time. Go to apple.com and the ipodlounge. Read. Post PLEASANTLY to forums etc. The iPod deserves all the eclat it has received to date - share in it.

Jeez, have you forgotton to take your tablets?

They're great.

I agree with you sair5412. Does apple really think the insruction manual you get with your ipod is any use at all. It is about 3 pages long and doesn't tell you a thing its a total waste of time reading it. At times I really hate my ipod and at times i love it.

Thanks Lukey,

I think I may have offended some people by posting what I did. I didn't mean to but I had just spent about 3 hours doing what the online instructions said and it still didnt work!

I do like it and think it's a fab idea but there should be easier access to instructions and helplines etc. Especially for the money you pay!

P.S- i'm not nutty. Most of my original post was actually fairly light hearted but it obviously didnt come across that way! Sorry :/

What a joy the comprehensive manual to my Samsung YH-J70 mp3 players is then!
that's because it needs a manual.

the iPod doesn't need to be supplied with such a large manual, because it's so easy to use!
fo3nix - not so, I used the Samsung for a week before I decided to look at the manual. It's comprehensive because of the many facilities - FM Radio (with presets), Photo, Video, USB Host (!), Games and even display of text files (quite useful).
hehe I was only kidding ;)
