Facebook Chat & News Feed Not Showing After New Hard Drive

i am having a few problems with myfacebook page, the news feed which appears above the chat column is not showing, neither is the chat. they normally appear news feed above the chat on the right hand side. this is not the case now. i have had a new hard drive installed is this the problem,

You will have to work your way through the FB settings to get it as you want it.

Where my FB chat is the space above it is clear anyway, my feed is in the centre of the page with a column on the left with groups and apps etc listed.
