I have a problem with my Bosch Fridge/Freezer. The fan mechanism housing broke and the fridge started to over heat. I have managed to glue the brackets back together and refitted it , the fan is working but the fridge doesn't seem to be cooling down. This is all a temporary measure while the engineer gets a new fitting.Cna anyone give me an idea as to what to do next.

Hope it wasn't this make of fridge freezer which burst into flames and was in all the papers recently. Must have a look ................
No you are ok, it was Beko :)
If a fridge is not cooling then the most likely cause is that the compressor is faulty. Sorry but it looks like the loss of the fan has damaged the compressor, if so then it is time for a new fridge . The compressor is the main part of a fridge / freezer and once it has gone usually there is little that can be done apart from buy a new fridge or freezer. You may be lucky and it just needs re gassing due to the overheating.
