But luck helps, Sqad. Adequately prepared may not be perfectly; there is unlikely to be every question to which you can give an answer which the examiner regards as perfect. And not every candidate has the luck of FredPuli. He had near perfect knowledge of only six topics for his final paper. Six questions and every one was on one of those topics: didn't know...

Oh come on Loosen up Sqad !

My father in Path finals in erm... 1939 ( he qualified in time to be captured at Dunkirk - now THERE'S luck for you ) the outgoing candidate said: 'Prostate' to him as he went out/came in. And sure enough.... so there was blathering, and then he realised that it was no prostate but a fetal heart and corrected himself.

think of something walnutty jangling in a paraffin bottle

and the examiner said: 'You've been talking to the candidates havent you ?'
and got extremely bad tempered and started talking about cheating.
so he failed that one. Never mind, do conjoint and then retake in those days.
