Would you recommend solar panels,then, tilly?
Will they pay for themselves, as it were, in a year or two?
Do they last a long time?
Without maintenance.?

It will take us ten years to recoup the initial outlay, Peter. So far, we have had a tenth of our investment back and reduced electricity bills. They don't need any maintenance, as far as I know.
