Hi, im looking for a book on Economic history of britain, ie - the recessions and stuff thats happened in the past, and what actions were taken. Perhaps a more light hearted book as im only reading it for a little background knowledge for economics in university. Can anyone reccomend a good book?
Thanks
John.

A farewell to Alms ..A brief economic history by Gregory Clark
There are lots of topics include in Economics such as Demand and supply, GDB and National accounts, Law of Diminishing Returns, Commercial and Central Banks, Production etc. So, First you need to learn about the " Fundamentals of Micro Economics " which provide an introduction to the economic way of thinking through exposure to the language, theories and methodology of economics.
Well I am not sure if this can help you, but I would like to recommend you a very good site where you can find almost everything you need to learn. I also use it and I learned more from it than in the school. It is http://www.globalfinanceschool.com/interactive-courses/fundamentals-micro-economics check it out.
