The gearbox was 3 forward and reverse even on the prototype

The starter on the prototype at the motor show was a pull cord not kick it was replaced by an electric starter on its release - good call!

Interestingly it included a heater which wasn't common on British cars for another 10 years or more



They sold neaely 9 million and about 1/3 of those are still on the road
