Just got off the phone to NTL and they have said that Norton is conflicting with Outlook Express, apparantly this happens all the time, and that I have to download Outlook Express again from the Microsoft website. Just been on their website and I can't find it! I can find security download for outlook express service pack1. I have service pack 2, I don;t even know if that is close to what I should be downloading. please please could some kind soul direct me in the right direction of what I should be downloading! All this is so confusing to me!

Sounds like NTL being thick to me. If you have XP SP2 installed, you have the most up-to-date version of Outlook Express. If I were you, I'd try two things: firstly, run Microsoft Update and see if there's any additional updates there; secondly, re-install SP2. You can do this with your Windows XP disk if it's the version with SP2 already on it, or you can do it from the Microsoft website.

I'd also get rid of Norton and get ANY other anti-virus / internet security package. Norton conflicts with pretty much everything and isn't the best protection available.
