I have this, prob linked with ulcerative colitis, and took pills for a while. They then ran out and the doc won't give me any more without a blood test. There's a long waiting time for this. I noticed I've been feeling jittery and feeling flutters in my muscles early in the morning. Now I have a twitchy lower eyelid. Are these things related to lack of folate do you think?

No I do not recognise any of the symptoms that you have described as due to folate deiciency.

Oh okay, thanks. Aren't the symptoms usually anaemic type weakness?
Scarlett.....yes they are.
I don't know how long you have been off Folic acid, or what dose you were on, but normally after a course you have 3/4 months worth of stores in your body, so it takes some time to run out.
