I have just received 126.92 from the central line refund body, as compensation for the period from January to May when it was out of service. I only used the section between Bank and Chancery Lane (2 stops), whereas a colleague who used Shepherd's Bush to Chancery Lane (10 stops) received only 50. Can anybody explain the discrepancy please, or tell me how much they received? Thanks.

i used to use the central line, i want a refund, how did u get a refund dfaith?? sorry i cant answer ur question.
You don't deserve a refund for being so lazy! Bank to Chancery Lane is a 20 minute walk, forget the sodding tube and enjoy the sunshine.
The only reason I can think of it's that your journey left you with no options but to use the central line whereas the other journey you have mentioned could have been completed by using either the cirle or district lines?
calm down jfk dfaith said he got compensation for janiary to may, it wasnt sunny then. it is now but hes not getting compensation for now.
I can answer your question - I too received 50, despite travelling all the way from Stratford to Bond Street. 50 is the statutory amount you will receive if they don't have anough information about your ticket. This has caused huge problems for the many, many people who buy their ticket through their company - it means that London Underground have no details on their system about your ticket - rather than contact the applicant to find this out, or ask for a photocopy of your ticket, they seem to think it's acceptable to simply tell you they can't find the info and send you a "goodwill gesture" of 50 quid!! You can appeal though.... expect a wait of another few months though for any kind of reponse!
